Do I see the other
or do I project?
The gaze is not innocent. Every time you see, something of you looks with you.
EXPOSE happens when someone suspends, even for a single moment,
the certainty of having already seen.
It can happen in a conversation.
In a decision.
In a conflict.
Before a person we thought we knew.
It requires no adherence.
It requires no declaration.
It requires no belonging.
It requires only this:
to notice one's own gaze
before using it on the other.
EXPOSE does not ask to be followed.
It only asks that, for a moment,
you not follow yourself.
